Fall Decorations

Fall Decorations

Decorating for fall has become about as popular as decorating for Christmas. We want to see you get creative – corn stalks to tie around your light posts, bales of straw for pumpkin displays or for building your own scarecrow. We also have ‘Indian Corn’ – a popular fall door decoration. If you have pictures of your fall decorations from the farm send them to us – we’d love to share your ideas!

Sunshine-y Day :)

Sunshine-y Day :)

Here’s a quick shot of a beautiful – sunny – fall day at the farm. Wouldn’t it be great if we could bottle up these days to last us through the long winter!

Pumpkins!!

Pumpkins!!

We have row – after – row of pumpkins of all different sizes, shapes, and colors already picked from the field for you to choose from. However, if you prefer – starting this coming weekend (September 24-25) you will also be able to trek to the pumpkin patch to pick your own from the field!! Pick-your-own pumpkins will be available on Saturdays and Sundays – weather permitting of course. Keeping your pumpkin from getting a little soft before Halloween can be a little tricky but here are some suggestions to keep it in good shape for as long as possible. Wait to carve it! Exposing the inside of the pumpkin makes it soften quickly. Keep your pumpkin from freezing – at night when the forecast calls for a frost set your pumpkin in the garage.

Bales Of Hay Turned Pumpkins!

Bales Of Hay Turned Pumpkins!

This weekend truly was the mad rush to get everything ready before the mad rush. Arguably one of the most important parts of getting ready – besides picking all of the pumpkins of course – is painting the trademark bales! They can’t help but put a smile on your face. You can’t miss them as you drive down Hwy 83 between Mukwonago and Genesee.

Which bale is your favorite? – let us know – leave a comment

Do you have fun pictures of you and your family with bales from previous years? Email them to us (schuettfarms@yahoo.com) – we’ll try to post them.
